Flowers & late swims

Tuesday, December 10, 2013

Dear Olive,
At preschool drop off this morning, you cried. You clung onto me and wouldn't let go. You felt so small in my arms, and I was reminded of just how tiny and fragile you are. We are nearing the end of what has been a pretty long year of working and childcare (and nearing the end of a rather long two weeks of having Shane away).
It was still hot when I picked you up after work, so we went for a late swim. Summer is great like that.
You chose our markets flowers this week - pink roses. Something I would never normally choose, but I must say, I'm enjoying them immensely.
My friend Mel dropped around with this beautiful bunch of natives.
Out to dinner with a friend - you brought along a toy dog, in a box. Naturally.

I love how kids haven't been ruined by sense.
