I've been working away in this job as your Mum for exactly 11 months today. And, well, by law*, I should have accrued a considerable number of sick days. On full pay. If I provide you with a doctors certificate can I please take today off? Maybe tomorrow too? My body's aching, my throat's killing me and I need to rest. Thanks darling. We can discuss my annual leave at my pay review.
