Dear Olive,
The house is filled to the brim with beautiful flowers, and my heart is filled to the brim with love, from a ton of birthday cheer and well wishes sent my way over the weekend. I forgot how fun it is to be the birthday girl! And although I didn't get anything from my wishlist*, I had a great weekend hanging with my loved ones. I feel ok about ageing. I imagine it's only a terrifying prospect if you're unhappy with your life. But aside from a few mostly-material gaps in mine, I feel pretty content with the way things are. And besides, it's better than being dead!
*That's a lie. I ordered myself the sandals.

Happy belated birthday Kellie! It sounds like it was lovely. xx

PS. I saw your comment on a CupofJo and I just wanted to also pop by and say, "bravo!". That post, and all the comments applauding sleep training really upset me (those poor little babies!) and it was so good to see a sensible and sensitive response.

gorgeous, gorgeous photo...looks very inviting to be 36 in your home.

i turned 36 in august and was completely fine with it, michael turned 45 yesterday and that was a bit harder to swallow even for me. today he is closer to fifty then forty and we have a baby on the way.
