Dear Olive, You are so lucky to have a friend like Mel. She lets you into her studio, she lets you use her paints, and she calls you an artist. (See Mels own work here and here.)
PS Mel drew a cat on the canvas, and you painted it in.
What a clever, wonderful woman Mel is. In my Kindergarten we always used those terms {artist, sculptor, designer etc.} to instil confidence and ignite passion. And Olive, my my, what a beautiful painting. Talented indeed x
it truly is a wonderful thing. our Lily is lucky like that also. our dear friend also has a studio near by and she loves going there to do art with him.
Well, that is the most stylish smock I've ever seen. Nothing sweeter than a little one's face/stance as they are creating...Funny, I have that same oilcloth tablecloth (bought in Miami years ago) - and it's on our balcony (just posted about spending mornings out there and you can glimpse it in the pics...omg. daggy that i'm doing snaps on tablecloths - or daggy that I referenced a post? cringe!) x

Great work Olive! I'm pretty impressed at how neatly she painted in the shapes!
Looks like so much fun xxx
My girl would love this! How nice that it's on canvas too, easy for you to hang on the wall. Olive has a nice eye for colour!
