Dear Olive,
Hands down, autumn is my favourite season. The long afternoon shadows, the chilly yet sunny days, all those warming soups and pies and curries, I love it all. But for probably the first time, I feel sad that summer has left us. We all have the tans to show for just how much we got out of the beach this summer, and when it was rainy and cold for the last week of the season, I couldn't help but feel a little ripped off. Come on, summer, won't you come back for just one more week?

I'm also keen for the days to cool down - looks like we got the extended summer and you got the lovely rain. Autumn is my favourite too. The changed light, and colours, and chocolate.
I'm also very happy to see summer go...although here it remains 35-37 degrees and sunny each day, so it's hard to call it autumn. I long for chilly weather. The grass is always greener and all that.
I adore that photo with one red shoe and one blue shoe. what a stylish kidlet.
I saw olive in paper mâché today. Very sweet.
And yes I feel slightly ripped off by summers whimper of an end.
Have to admit, I totally feel a bit ripped off by Summer this year; with 3 weeks of steady rain and overcast skies, I've been a little sad to see her go. I'm hopeful for a typical sunny Queensland winter though!
These images are lovely - the first one is beyond adorable!

Another week of above 30 temps here in Melbourne and I must say, bring on some cooler nights! But I'll inevitably be sad to see it go too...
It's strange because in the US we are just getting ready to start Spring. I've never known anyone in Australia before so I had no idea seasons were switched. (Yeah... totally oblivious) But, she is so cute and the changing of seasons is so good for the soul!
so so sweet. I deplore when summer just abruptly ends. The images of the food is delightful though! Yum!
Her whole outfit is ADORABLE I love her shorts :)

Summer's still here but no beach. Maybe you need a last minute river holiday?
I love Autumn, too. But, thankfully for us Victorians, we are enjoying a warm first week of Autumn with days not straying too far below 30. Sheesh.
Same! I feel ripped off, way to much summer rain and not enough time on the beach. Though it is nice to snuggle at night.
ps I love Olive's skirt
